Saviour Car Recovery & Assistance
1. About Us
Saviour Car Recovery (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides vehicle recovery services across the UK.
- In Central Scotland (Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Falkirk, and surrounding areas), we own and operate our own recovery vehicles and provide recovery services directly.
- Outside Central Scotland, including London and other regions, we act as an independent booking and introduction service, arranging recovery through a network of third-party recovery operators.
2. Our Service
Depending on your location:
- Central Scotland: We provide recovery services directly, including vehicle transportation, handling, and on-site assistance.
- Other Areas: We source and arrange suitable third-party recovery operators on your behalf.
In all areas, we handle the booking, coordination, and administrative services.
3. Booking and Payment
By booking a recovery service, you authorise Saviour Car Recovery to:
- provide recovery services directly (Central Scotland), or
- arrange recovery through a third-party operator (outside Central Scotland).
Payments may include:
- a service or introduction fee (non-refundable once a third-party operator is dispatched), and
- the recovery charge payable to the operator or to us if we provide the service directly.
4. Introduction and Arrangement Fee (Outside Central Scotland)
Where we act as an introducer, an introduction and arrangement fee applies. This fee:
- covers sourcing and arranging the recovery operator;
- becomes payable once the operator is dispatched;
- is non-refundable after dispatch, regardless of service outcome.
5. Third-Party Recovery Operators (Outside Central Scotland)
For areas where we do not operate directly, the recovery service is provided by an independent third-party operator.
Once dispatched:
- the contract for the recovery service is between you and the operator;
- responsibility for vehicle handling, delays, and damage.
6. Our Direct Service (Central Scotland)
Where we operate directly:
- Saviour Car Recovery is responsible for the recovery service, including vehicle handling, safety, and insurance;
- Our team follows standard operating procedures to minimise risk;
- We remain liable under UK law for acts or omissions by our staff.
7. Pricing and Additional Charges
Prices are based on the information provided at booking. Additional charges may apply for:
- restricted or unsafe vehicle access,
- incorrect or incomplete information,
- waiting times, or
- extra services requested on site.
Charges are payable to the operator or to Saviour Car Recovery depending on your location.
8. Cancellations and Refunds
- Before dispatch: Refunds may be issued minus administrative fees.
- After dispatch: No refunds will be issued.
- No refunds for change of mind, delays beyond our control, or unsafe conditions preventing service.
9. Customer Responsibilities
You confirm:
- you are authorised to request recovery of the vehicle;
- all information provided is accurate;
- personal belongings are removed before recovery.
We are not responsible for personal items left in the vehicle.
10. Liability
- Central Scotland: We are fully responsible for our direct recovery service.
- Other Areas: We are not liable for acts, omissions, or damages caused by third-party operators.
Nothing limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
11. Complaints
- For direct recovery in Central Scotland, complaints should be made to Saviour Car Recovery.
- For third-party recoveries, complaints should be raised with the recovery operator. We will assist where appropriate.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including weather, traffic incidents, road closures, or operational issues affecting recovery operators.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland for Scottish recoveries and England and Wales elsewhere in the UK.
